This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and organised individual to join the theatre team at Homerton Healthcare.
The Theatre Equipment Coordinator will support the smooth and safe running of operating theatres by managing surgical equipment, specialist consumables, and loan kits across all specialties.
They will work closely with theatre teams, sterile services, procurement, and external suppliers.
The post holder will need to ensure necessary equipment is available to prevent delays to patient care.
The applicant will support the team leaders at scheduling meetings, take notes and support them arrange loan equipment. They will act as a point of contact from company representatives who come to the department.

• Work closely with the Theatre Coordinator, Team Leaders, and wider theatre teams to support smooth daily theatre operations.
• Build strong working relationships across all departments, demonstrating professionalism and proactive problem‑solving.
• Communicate effectively with external suppliers and company representatives to coordinate delivery, collection, and documentation of surgical loan kits, consumables and equipment.
• Work with procurement to order specialist consumables and non‑stock items, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Work with the procurement and distribution team to ensure correct levels of stock are maintained.
• Work with Medical Electronics to facilitate them check/repair, new, loaned or faulty equipment.
• Support theatre planning by identifying correct kit requirements to minimise delays or cancellations.
• Use systems such as IPROC, Synergy Trak, and Scan for Safety to monitor and record loan kit activity and traceability.
• Inspect loan kits on arrival, ensuring completeness, correct documentation, and compliance with infection control standards.
• Arrange attendance of industry representatives for procedures when required
