Sutton Housing Partnership manages council housing in Sutton. We are responsible for the day-to-day management of housing services to around 6,000 council tenants and 1,500 leaseholders.
This is a perfect time to join our Housing Management team. Our focus is on delivering our core landlord services to ensure that we deliver these consistently well. We are committed to investing in our residents and supporting them to access appropriate services to address a range of issues, including health & wellbeing, financial resilience, training and employment.

As a Housing Manager, you will be required to demonstrate a holistic approach to tenancy management and take ownership of residents’ concerns, providing support and resolution in line with policy and procedure. The successful candidate will have experience of rent recovery, adult & child safeguarding, anti-social behaviour case management, supporting victims of domestic abuse, mutual exchanges and working with residents to support them in making positive lifestyle changes. You will be required to promote inclusion among tenants and help to build stronger communities.

This is a challenging, interesting and engaging role and will require you to demonstrate a commitment and ability to work within and across teams to deliver resident priorities.

A skilled professional who is passionate about tenancy management, is committed to supporting residents and works proactively to improve the service we provide to our residents. You will have an understanding of housing legislation, welfare reform, and tenancy management as well as delivering resident focussed services. You will be required to demonstrate excellent customer service, an ability to effectively problem-solve and to offer a professional, caring and customer focused service.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, for successful candidates, a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken which will include a DBS Disclosure. Successful candidates will also be required to drive and hold a full UK driving licence.
● Maintaining detailed, evidence based records using attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Remaining assertive whilst responding sympathetically and with understanding to residents with personal and sometimes distressing issues.
