Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a role where you can make a real impact?
Hastings Borough Council is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to join our People and Business Support team. This is a key role with a particular focus on supporting our Housing services, while also working across other areas of the Council to provide high-quality strategic and operational HR support.
You will work closely with managers and senior leaders, helping to shape workforce solutions that support service delivery, organisational change and employee performance. From complex employee relations casework and restructures to workforce planning, job evaluation and manager development, this is a varied and influential role at the heart of the Council.
We are looking for someone who can build strong working relationships, provide credible and pragmatic advice, and bring confidence and professionalism to complex people matters. You will also help support and develop colleagues across the wider HR team, providing coaching and guidance to HR Advisors, Officers and Assistants.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR practitioner who enjoys working in partnership with services, influencing decision-making and helping managers navigate change with confidence.
We are looking for someone who has:
substantial experience in a senior HR advisory or business partnering role
strong employee relations experience, including complex casework
experience of organisational change and restructures
experience of supporting front-line services
strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
the confidence to influence, challenge and support managers at all levels
If you are a confident, solutions-focused HR professional who wants to play a key role in supporting Housing and wider Council services, we would love to hear from you.
