In this new role, you will coordinate the efficient sorting, processing, and distribution of donated goods within the Distribution Centre (Depot).

What will I be doing?

• Work closely with the logistics team to plan and prioritise distribution based on stock levels, demand, and seasonal trends.
• Identify efficiencies in sorting, storage, and distribution processes, contributing ideas to maximise income and reduce waste.
• Support the recruitment, induction, and supervision of our volunteers; allocating daily tasks, providing informal training and promoting a safe and positive working environment.

What skills do I need?
• Experience in warehouse, retail, logistics or charity operations.
• Confidence working independently, problem-solving and managing varied tasks.
• Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with stores, teams and supporters.
• Basic IT skills (e.g. stock systems, spreadsheets).
• A positive attitude, strong customer service, and the ability to represent Garden House Hospice Trading professionally.
• Flexibility to work any 5 out of 7 days, including weekends, on a rota basis.

What hours will I be working?
This is a part time role of 25 hours per week, working 5 hours per day over 5 days. You will need to be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work and have the ability to adapt to the needs of our growing and changing business.
