KS3 PRU Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role from April 2026 until summer

Duties as KS3 PRU Teacher:
- Teach KS3 pupils full time across multiple subjects as a generalist.
- Deliver engaging lessons adapted to SEMH needs and lower prior attainment.
- Teach within a small PRU setting with a focus on emotional regulation and positive relationships.
- Support pupils through consistent routines, structured behaviour strategies and targeted interventions.
- Plan and deliver differentiated activities appropriate to learning levels.
- Work collaboratively with support staff, pastoral teams and external professionals.
- Maintain calm, safe learning environments and promote positive behaviour.
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare.
Ideal KS3 PRU Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong teaching experience.
- Previous experience teaching in a PRU or working with SEMH groups is essential.
- KS2 Primary Teachers with SEMH experience will be considered.
- Calm, resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to motivate hard‑to‑reach pupils and build trusting relationships.
- Adaptable, proactive and committed to pupil development.
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being.
