SEND Teaching Assistant – Sale (Long-Term Role)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Sale, who are looking to appoint a committed and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a long-term position. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs and make a meaningful difference in their educational journey.

The Role

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other complex needs

  
  

• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver personalised learning activities

  
  

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

  
  

• Help to create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment

  Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of EHCPs and individual learning plans

    
    

  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management

    
    

  • Encourage independence, confidence and social development

    
    

  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement

    Requirements

    • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND

      
      

    • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach

      
      

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

      
      

    • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
