To be considered, applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the Person Specification section of the Job Description. Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition. Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required. Candidate is expected to work at the level of a ST6-ST7 senior registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice. Hull University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an Equal Opportunities Employer. This post has arisen due to middle grade expansion for a period of 24 months. The post will enable us to maintain an adequate level of obstetrics and gynaecology activity and will
be an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain further experience in the speciality. It is full-time position however if candidate is unable, for personal reasons, work full time, candidate
will still be eligible to be considered for the post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job description will be discussed on a personal basis following consultation with College Tutors.



Successful applicant will be supported and encouraged to undertake QI, audit, research projects in these areas of the speciality with access to clinical supervisor. The successful candidate is expected to work at Level 4 Entrustability in Emergency Obstetrics and Gynaecology or
equivalent (work under indirect supervision out of hours) and support junior registrars. If successful candidates demonstrate good progress in their higher training will be supported towards a CESR
route in career progression. The successful candidate is expected to comply with all generic and speciality Specific mandatory training including PROMPT, fetal Monitoring, Information Governance, Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding. These need to be enrolled and completed as soon as possible after starting. They must enrol on eLearning for mandatory sessions via HEY24/7, login access and training will be
provided.
