Crynodeb

At AccuRoof, we help bring buildings to life. As the specialist roofing systems arm of SIG Roofing, AccuRoof works at the design and specification stage of construction projects — influencing product choice, supporting technical decisions, and ensuring roofing systems are delivered right from concept through to completion.

We know that great specification starts with great people. That’s why this Graduate Specification Manager role has been designed as an early-careers pathway into construction specification and commercial roofing — offering hands-on experience, real responsibility, and exposure to some of the most influential stakeholders in the roofing industry.

Location St Ives, Cambridge/Hybrid
Scheme Duration – 2 Years

Job summary
As a Graduate Specification Manager, you’ll join the AccuRoof business, in a fast-paced, outward-facing role that sits at the heart of the construction specification process.

You’ll work with architects, surveyors, local authorities, property owners, main contractors and roofing contractors — supporting projects from early design through tender and contract award to completion. Alongside experienced colleagues, you’ll learn how specifications are secured, protected and converted, while building deep knowledge of roofing systems and the construction lifecycle.

This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate looking to build a long-term career in construction specification, technical sales or commercial roofing systems.

Your development
This role is designed to grow with you.
Over your first 12–24 months, you’ll build strong foundations in roofing systems, construction standards and the specification process, while progressively taking ownership of projects and relationships.

You’ll be supported through:

On-the-job learning alongside experienced Specification and Commercial teams
Exposure to live projects across refurbishment and new build
Development of technical knowledge, consultative selling and stakeholder management skills
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for potential, curiosity and drive.

You’ll likely be:

A minimum 2:2 degree in a business-related subject
Recently graduated within the last 3 years
Curious about how buildings are designed, specified and delivered
Confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects at different stages
A clear and professional communicator, comfortable asking questions and offering solutions
Self-motivated, resilient and keen to build a long-term career in the construction industry
An understanding of the construction lifecycle, standards or supply chains is helpful — but full technical knowledge will be developed in role.
Full driving license and access to a car or ability to get to branch locations and occasional overnight stays may be needed.

Why Accuroof?
At AccuRoof, graduates don’t sit behind a desk. You’ll be out on projects, involved in real decisions, and trusted to build relationships early.
You’ll gain:

Hands-on experience in live construction specification projects
Exposure to architects, contractors and key industry stakeholders
Support from experienced technical and commercial professionals
A strong foundation for a long-term career within SIG Roofing
Our benefits include

Competitive salary
Comprehensive benefits package including retail discounts and much more!
25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
A great pension, with SIG contributing up to 7.5% and up to 4x life insurance
Share Incentive Scheme
If you’re ready to build a career where you can see your impact on real buildings and real projects, we’d love to hear from you.
