Abatec are currently recruiting for a Production Assembly Operative for a well-established company operating in the remanufacturing sector based in Weston-super-Mare. The company is known for producing high-quality, reliable products, supporting both trade and retail customers.
This Production Assembly Operative is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with experience or a strong interest in engineering, assembly, or manufacturing. You will play a key part in the production process, assembling components, working from technical drawings, and maintaining high quality standards throughout all stages of production.
What's in it for you?
- Full-time role
- Monday - Friday, 3-day weekend every 2 weeks!
- No weekends!
- Pay from £13.50 per hour
- Weekly pay, every Friday
- Overtime available for additional earnings
Key Responsibilities of Production Assembly Operative:
- Carry out assembly using technical and engineering drawings
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Follow work instructions and production schedules
- Perform inspection, testing, and quality control tasks
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures in a workshop environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering setting
- Previous experience working as a Mechanical Assembly or Production Operative
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Skilled in the use of basic hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
