Your new company
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Do you thrive in supportive, purposeful environments where every day brings the chance to empower students to succeed? If so, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
We are proud to be working exclusively with a forward‑thinking, trauma‑informed secondary school in London, seeking Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team from April.
Your new role
As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital part in helping students aged 11-16 feel safe, understood, and ready to learn. You'll work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and specialist practitioners to:
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students
- Support emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
- Create a calm, nurturing environment that promotes learning
- Provide in‑class support and targeted interventions
- Model resilience, empathy, and consistency
This is a school that truly values its staff, invests in training, and champions a whole‑school trauma‑informed approach. You'll be joining a team that believes in compassion, connection, and high expectations.
What you'll need to succeed
We'd love to hear from you if:
- You have recent experience (within the last three years) working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting OR
- You have supported young people aged 11-16 in other environments (youth work, mentoring, residential care, sports coaching, alternative provision, etc.)
Most importantly, you bring:
- A calm, patient, and reflective approach
- A genuine commitment to supporting young people with additional needs
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
- A willingness to learn and grow within a trauma‑informed framework
What you'll get in return
This isn't just a job. It's an opportunity to be part of a school that understands behaviour as communication and sees every student as capable of success. You'll be helping young people rebuild confidence, re‑engage with learning, and move toward brighter futures.
