The Role
This is a full-time, permanent position for a Teacher of Health and Social Care starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality BTEC and Applied General qualifications at Level 3. This role requires an individual who is not just a subject expert, but a mentor capable of navigating a young adult environment where students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning. Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Innovative Pedagogy: Using creative methods to explain social care policies and legislation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for both student and parent interaction.

- Monitor Progress: Use data-driven systems to track student achievement and implement interventions where necessary.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the design and refinement of the vocational curriculum.
- Pastoral Support: Act as a progress tutor, guiding a group of students through their academic and personal growth.
- Safeguarding: Uphold the highest standards of student welfare in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
- Assessment: Provide timely, constructive feedback on student assignments to ensure maximum achievement.
- Collaborate: Work within the Trust's Learning Divisions to share best practices and resources.
- University Preparation: Support students with UCAS applications and high-level apprenticeship placements.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain an adult-orientated atmosphere where mutual respect is the foundation of the classroom.
