Crynodeb
The postholder will be offered a 10 PA locum contract with Urology (theatre sessions on both sites/outpatient clinics) per week. The postholder will play an integral part in delivering and developing an excellent Urology Surgery service. The postholder will be responsible for the admission and ward care of patients, operate in theatres, run outpatient clinics, MDTs, initiate and complete Audits, and participate in Research Trials (ongoing as well as help initiate new projects). This role will have 1:5 on-call commitments (see about us section below for specifics). The postholder need to have a major interest in Urology surgery and will provide support to the Junior Urology team within LGT. The Urology department has an expectation that during this placement you will take part in clinical governance, M&M and present the findings to your colleagues and other departments. The ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team is vital. It is also anticipated that the successful candidates would contribute to increasing the regional and national profile of the department.
