We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Security Awareness & GRC Lead to join our team at Amey – This role will be mostly remote with occasional travel to an Amey office for meetings.



The salary is dependent on experience.



The hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week.



The Security Awareness & GRC Lead is responsible for promoting a strong security and privacy culture across Amey and supporting the governance, risk, and compliance programme. The role delivers awareness campaigns, manages the security intranet, and administers the GRC tool.



It supports policy adoption, risk tracking, and control documentation across all functions, helping ensure that security and privacy are understood and embedded throughout the organisation.



The role works closely with internal communications teams to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with organisational tone and priorities



What you will do:

• Design and deliver engaging security and privacy awareness campaigns and training.

• Support managers and teams with tailored materials and sessions.

• Maintain the security intranet and publish guidance, updates, and resources.

• Collaborate with internal communications teams to align messaging and delivery channels.

• Coordinate with external training providers and internal training teams to support awareness delivery.

• Administer the GRC platform, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.

• Support risk tracking, control mapping, and remediation workflows.

• Provide user support and training for the GRC tool.

• Assist with policy rollouts and compliance tracking.

• Support internal assurance activities and control documentation.

• Contribute to audit preparation and evidence gathering.



What you will bring:

• Experience in security awareness, GRC, or compliance support roles

• Familiarity with awareness tools, intranet platforms, and GRC systems

• Strong communication and content creation skills

• Ability to engage diverse audiences and promote behavioural change.

• Comfortable working across teams and functions

• Understanding of ISO/IEC 27001 and Cyber Essentials

• Familiarity with GRC platforms and reporting tools

• Ability to manage awareness content and intranet publishing.

• Knowledge of policy frameworks and control mapping

• Experience supporting audit and assurance activities.

• Organised and reliable
