You'll shape strategy, build deep relationships, and enable high-performing teams, all while helping us deliver better outcomes for our clients. Senior Account Manager - Local and Regional Partnership (L&RP)

Location: UK Wide / Homebased

Reporting to: Director, Client & Account Management

Lead strategic account growth at the heart of public service transformation

This is a pivotal role for an experienced Senior Account Manager who wants to drive growth, shape client strategy and play a leading role in transforming public services.

Local and regional government is at a critical point of change, with transformation high on the agenda across the sector. As Senior Account Manager, you'll work at the heart of this transformation - owning major client accounts, leading growth strategies, and partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver long‑term value for clients, citizens and communities.

You'll operate with significant autonomy, acting as a trusted senior partner to your clients while working closely with Capita's Growth, Propositions and Delivery teams to bring innovative, tech‑enabled solutions to market.

This role offers high visibility, commercial accountability and a clear pathway to senior leadership.

We're committed to building a diverse and representative leadership population and particularly welcome applications from women and people from Black, Asian and other ethnic minority backgrounds.

What you'll be doing

• Lead the strategic growth, retention and development of significant client accounts, delivering against revenue, margin and renewal targets
• Own and execute account growth plans, shaping win strategies for re‑tenders, renewals and in‑contract growth
• Act as a visible senior partner to client leaders, influencing strategy and shaping long‑term value creation
• Identify, qualify and progress high‑value growth opportunities aligned to client transformation agendas
• Lead cross‑functional teams to co‑create solutions, proposals and commercial models
• Ensure seamless transition from bid to in‑life delivery, protecting client outcomes and experience
• Apply rigorous account disciplines, including pipeline management, forecasting accuracy and Salesforce adoption
• Provide senior oversight of delivery performance and lead issue escalation and resolution where required
• Role‑model best‑practice account management, contributing to capability uplift across the account community

What we're looking for

• Proven experience leading strategic account management in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments
• Strong commercial mindset with a track record of account growth, retention and successful re‑tenders
• Credibility operating at senior client level, influencing outcomes and building trusted relationships
• Deep understanding of account planning, pipeline governance and forecasting disciplines
• Data‑literate and insight‑driven, using Salesforce and performance analytics to inform decisions
• Highly collaborative, able to orchestrate outcomes across Growth, Propositions and Delivery
• Leadership capability - role‑modelling excellence and raising standards across the sales engine
