We are seeking a highly experienced Key Account Manager to provide strategic leadership and exceptional delivery across a complex, multi-site facilities management contract.
This role is central to ensuring operational excellence, commercial strength, and a consistently high-quality user experience.
Working closely with the Key Account Director, the KAM will drive performance, embed an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture, and deliver meaningful improvements that reflect the customer’s business objectives.
Job Description
We are looking for an influential, people-first leader who thrives in fast-paced, high‑value environments and can translate strategic vision into effective frontline execution.
As the primary site-based point of contact, the KAM will shape service delivery, maximise contract performance, and support long-term client partnerships through innovation, insight, and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of a multi-site FM portfolio, ensuring all contract deliverables, KPIs, and SLAs are consistently exceeded.
Work closely with the KAD and Senior Finance Business Partner to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L performance, driving profitability through innovation and resource optimisation.
Position the organisation as a strategic partner, leading renewal strategies, service expansions, and contributing to commercially robust bids.
Act as the primary contact for the flagship site, aligning service delivery with the customer’s operational and strategic priorities.
Integrate retained customer teams - such as space management - into a unified workplace and data-led service model.
Convert customer feedback into tangible operational improvements, ensuring insights lead to measurable outcomes.
Lead large, diverse operational teams, including direct line management and development of supervisory and managerial employees.
Ensure robust Health & Safety compliance across all service lines, confidently advising clients and supporting safe working practices.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Proven experience leading complex, multi-service contracts up to £40m in value.
Background in the service industry; FM experience desirable but not essential.
Strong leadership experience, with a track record of developing teams and driving succession planning.
Demonstrated success managing operations across multiple sites within high-value contracts.
Solid understanding of Health & Safety requirements (IOSH desirable; can be completed in role).
Experience building strategic partnerships with senior client stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of SLAs, KPIs, and performance reporting.
Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership, budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience contributing to successful renewals, retentions, and large competitive bids, ideally in collaboration with specialist teams.
