Crynodeb
Clinical / Counselling Psychologists or Experienced CBT Practitioners (Band 7): Two posts, one based in Camden and one in Islington.
Psychosis Pathway in Core Teams (Full-time, permanent)
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a specialist community psychosis pathway in a Core (adult mental health) Team. The post-holder will provide extended assessments, formulations, consultations and psychological therapies (individual and group) to those presenting with psychosis and other severe mental health needs (including a diagnosis of bipolar disorder).
At this stage, we are looking for a qualified psychologist / practitioner rather than one who is currently in training. Previous experience of working with severe mental health problems is essential.
Please contact us to discuss any request in variation to the advertised hours. Please also get in touch with any other enquiries about the role.
The post-holder will act as a fully integrated member of the team, providing a service to clients with a diagnosis of psychosis, bipolar disorder and co-occuring complex needs, with the aims of supporting recovery, promoting mental and physical wellbeing and optimise independence and social inclusion.
You would work directly with individuals, groups and families from a wide range of diverse backgrounds, providing tailored assessment, formulation, consultation and interventions for psychosis, bipolar and co-occuring psychological difficulties such as trauma. You would work closely with MDT colleagues and other agencies to provide psychologically informed care, through joint working, training and consultation. You would be expected to work autonomously, with support and supervision, within professional guidelines and the policies and procedures of the service.
There is a strong continuing professional development programme within NLFT and a commitment to clinically relevant research. We have close links with UCL and other academic partners as well as training organisations. Trainee clinical psychologists are regularly on placement from the main London based doctoral courses.
For a detailed job description and a list of the main responsibilities of the post, please see the job descriptions and person specifications attached.
