Teaching Assistant – SEND School (Sale)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND school in Sale, who are looking to recruit a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a meaningful difference in their education.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH

  
  

• Working on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to support learning and development

  
  

• Assisting the class teacher with delivering tailored and engaging lessons

  
  

• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being

  
  

• Helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment

    The Ideal Candidate Will:

    • Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (in school or care settings)

      
      

    • Be patient, empathetic and resilient

      
      

    • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills

      
      

    • Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

      
      

    • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
