Are you an experienced Nursery Manager seeking a new role in Blackpool? Do you possess expertise in leading a dedicated team and ensuring the highest standards of Early Years care and education? Are you passionate about early childhood development, dedicated to maintaining a safe and stimulating environment, and committed to fostering strong relationships with parents and carers? If so, then you might be the ideal candidate for this position.

We are currently recruiting a Nursery Manager in Blackpool, with an hourly rate or salary around £33k (pro-rata). This is a minimum 6 month contract with a July start date to shadow until September. The nursery operates in term time and a holiday club with a capacity of 46 children. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the nursery, supported by an admin team and 22 staff.

As this position is to lead the nursery a successful candidate will need to have at least 2 years post qual experience and a strong understanding of nursery management. Please be aware that an interview or observation with the school may be required as part of the application process to ensure your suitability. Responsibilities

  • Preparation of resources and activities tailored to the nursery's needs.
  • Collaborate with the owner and admin team to organise appropriate activities.
  • Manage the day to day running of the nursery and lead a team of 22 staff.
  • Work closely with the admin support regarding parent calls and enquiries.
  • Monitor and track the development of the pupils and support personal development and confidence.
  • Work 35-40 hours per week between 7:30am - 5:30pm (flexible on time).

Essential requirements

  • Level 3 qualification.
  • 2 years post qual experience.
  • DSL qualified (or willing to undertake training).
  • First aid trained (nursery will train if not in date).
  • Experience of working with young people and managing a team.
  • Ability to engage with, and build rapport with young people and parents.
