If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We are recruiting for three product areas, each offering the chance to shape critical services used across the Department for Work and Pensions.
These are across:
Data and Analytics Enablement
You will lead products that make departmental data easily discoverable, understandable, and truly valuable. You'll move DWP forward on data curation, data matching, and metadata management.
Your work will empower the organisation to unlock the full potential of its data through trusted, well-structured, insight ready information assets.
Citizen Information
You will oversee how we safely store and share citizen data within DWP and with external partners.
This is a high-profile service within a major programme, requiring strong engagement with diverse and influential stakeholders. You'll help deliver secure and effective use of third-party data to achieve critical programme goals.
Corporate Services
You'll manage products and services that support our corporate functions, including HR and Finance.
You'll work closely with senior colleagues to understand priorities, shape backlogs, and translate organisational needs into deliverable for our Digital teams.
As we strengthen our product led and user centred design approach, you will also mentor and coach team members to build capability across the function.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- A proven ability to mentor and coach Product Managers and multidisciplinary teams, building capability, strengthening product thinking, and enabling the delivery of high-quality, outcome drivenproducts and services.
- A track recordof working closely with users to understand their needs and shape prioritisation, ensuring decisions focus on early value, strategic alignment, and measurable impact.
- Experience navigating complex or sensitive stakeholder environments, using influence, judgement, and diplomacy to resolve challenges, diffuse conflict, and drive shared agreement.
- A deep understanding of effective delivery practices and when agile methodologies are most suitable, with examples of applying the right approach to improve consistency, maturity, and delivery performance.
You and your role
As a Senior Product Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for one of DWP's most complex and essential services setting a clear product vision, shaping delivery, and ensuring your teams create secure, resilient, and user‑centred services.
You will use your product expertise and strong influencing skills to drive product maturity, improve delivery performance, and secure alignment across teams and stakeholders. You'll create the conditions for successful multidisciplinary delivery, fostering a culture of continual improvement and evidence‑based decision making.
Your experience will include developing compelling product strategies and value‑driven roadmaps that guide teams with clarity and purpose. You'll be comfortable leading change within complex environments, building positive relationships across organisational boundaries, and bringing others with you through clear communication and effective leadership.
