DWP. Digital with Purpose.
We are looking for a Product Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.
We're using fresh ideas and leading-edge tech to build and maintain digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK, every day and at key moments in their lives.
DWP is the UK's largest government department. We help people into work, and make payments worth over £195bn a year to support and empower millions of people.
The scale of what we do is extraordinary, and our purpose is unique. We'd love you to join us.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- The ability to shape and communicate a compelling vision and roadmap for a security platform, aligning it to organisational risk appetite, security strategy, and wider enterprise priorities.
- Demonstrable ability to understand the needs of security operations users and translate these into strategic product outcomes that strengthen detection and response capability.
- Proven experience of engaging, communicating and influencing senior stakeholders across security, technology, governance, and audit, balancing competing priorities and building shared understanding.
You and your role
You'll lead on our Microsoft Sentinel product - setting the vision and roadmap for how we detect threats, automate responses, and helping us get the best out of our analytics.
You'll work closely with SOC, Cyber Defence, engineering and security leaders, to turn real user needs into clear priorities and guide a multidisciplinary team through agile, usercentred delivery.
You'll keep performance frontandcentre - improving detection coverage, alert quality, false positives, MTTD/MTTR and overall platform reliability.
You'll also take ownership of the technical side of Sentinel: log and data onboarding, UEBA, automation playbooks, workspace design, RBAC, data retention and the full detectionengineering lifecycle, all supported by solid governance and quality assurance.
You'll make sure Sentinel meets our security standards and regulatory expectations, work with Microsoft and suppliers, support audit readiness, and help shape procurement or business cases when needed.
And as a people leader, you'll build an inclusive environment, develop your team and champion continuous learning and improvement.
