Cleansing Operative

Location: Tamworth
Pay: £12.65 per hour
Hours: Any 5 days out of 7 | 07:30 - 15:30

The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for a Cleansing Operative to support maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the Tamworth area. This is a hands-on, outdoor role ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertaking a range of cleansing and grounds maintenance duties

  • Emptying bins and litter picking

  • Assisting with fly-tipping removal

  • Removing graffiti and carrying out jet washing where required

  • Ensuring all duties are completed to agreed service and customer care standards

Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance or manual cleansing preferred but not essential

  • Basic level of literacy and numeracy

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

A 7.5 tonne (C1) licence or pre-1997 (grandfather rights) is desirable. You may also be required to open and lock the depot.

Working Hours

  • Any 5 days out of 7 (including weekends)

  • 07:30 - 15:30

  • 30-minute unpaid break
