The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology provides services for the Surrey Heartland ICS and adjacent areas. A full range of gynaecological and obstetric services is provided on site. The Royal Surrey Hospital Trust is a thriving District General Hospital serving the people of Surrey and the population of the bordering counties. Our Maternity Department has an excellent reputation having just been awarded Outstanding at the recent CQC inspection and our general gynaecology services cover all aspects of womens care. The Royal Surrey Maternity Department is one of only a few organisations in the country to be awarded the UNICEFs Baby Friendly Gold Award. Gynaecological oncology is covered by colleagues working in an independent division, but we work closely with them to provide care and training in this area. We are a highly innovative team delivering innovative care to both our local population and nationally across the UK, utilising innovative technology including robotic surgery. We pride ourselves in delivering an exceptionally high quality of care to our patients, and to our staff in their personal development and training.
