Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a full-time Autism Support Assistant, starting immediately, on behalf of a friendly and supportive primary school in the Bury area. This inclusive school-known for nurturing confidence, independence, and a strong sense of belonging-is looking for a committed individual to join their team after the Easter Break.

Working hours:

Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm

About the Role:

You will work either 1:1 with a child or support small groups of 3-4 pupils, helping to develop their academic, social, and emotional skills. Your role involves supporting children to access learning, building positive relationships, and encouraging independence within a nurturing environment.

About You:

Experienced in supporting children with autism or additional needs (school-based preferred but transferable experience will be considered)

Patient, understanding, and passionate about inclusive education

Able to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs

Confident in building strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Organised, proactive, and committed to helping every child thrive.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
