North Bristol NHS Trust is seeking an exceptionalAdministration Assistant (Band 3)to join ourASCR Senior Management Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting a large and busy clinical division, whilst contributing to the Trust’s values:Caring, Ambitious, Respectful and Supportive (NBT CARES).

What You Will Be Doing
In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to the Senior Divisional Management Team, including:
• Managing diaries, coordinating meetings, booking rooms and preparing documentation
• Producing and distributing simple reports
• Supporting minute-taking for divisional, HR investigatory and decision-making meetings
• Maintaining action logs and ensuring timely follow-up
• Handling sensitive or confidential information in line with GDPR
• Responding to telephone enquiries and supporting general office processes
• Assisting with project work, data entry and roster administration
• Building effective working relationships with colleagues across the Division

This role requires professionalism, discretion and the ability to remain composed under pressure.

What We’re Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience
• Prior administrative or clerical experience (not necessarily within the NHS)
• Confident communication skills – written and verbal
• Strong IT proficiency, including Outlook 365 and Microsoft Office
• Excellent organisational and workload‑management skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritise, and meet tight deadlines
• Experience handling confidential information appropriately
• Ability to support meeting administration, including preparing papers and maintaining records
Desirable Qualities
• Experience in a healthcare environment
• Typing qualifications or ICDL
• Familiarity with NHS systems such as Trac, Allocate/rosters or Power BI
• Ability to use AI/Copilot tools to improve efficiency
• Experience supporting project administration
