Job Title: Catering Assistant (Temporary – Hospital)
Location: Derby (DE22)
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Start Date: Immediate
We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to support a busy hospital site in Derby (DE22) on a short-term basis. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced healthcare environment, requiring strict adherence to hygiene and food safety standards.
Duration:
2 days cover (immediate requirement)
Working Hours:
To be confirmed (flexibility required)
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with food preparation and meal service
Serving food to patients, staff, or visitors
Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and service areas
Washing up and ensuring all equipment is sanitised
Following all food hygiene and safety regulations
Requirements:
Valid DBS (essential – must be in place before start)
Food Safety Level 2 Certificate (essential)
Previous catering or kitchen experience preferred
Good communication skills and a reliable work ethic
Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
This role requires someone who can start immediately and hit the ground running.
