Summary
Job Title: Hospital Cleaning Operative (Temporary)
Location: Derby (DE22)
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Start Date: Immediate
We are currently recruiting for a Hospital Cleaning Operative to support a healthcare site in Derby (DE22) on a short-term assignment starting immediately for at least 2 days. This role is ideal for someone who can step in quickly and is comfortable working within a clinical environment.
Duration:
2 days cover (immediate requirement)
Working Hours:
To be confirmed (flexibility required)
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning wards, corridors, and clinical areas to a high standard
Sanitising touchpoints and maintaining infection control procedures
Cleaning toilets, staff areas, and communal spaces
Safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
Following all health & safety and hospital hygiene regulations
Requirements:
Valid DBS (essential – must be in place before start)
Previous cleaning experience, ideally within healthcare or similar environments
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to work independently and follow strict procedures
This is a fast-moving vacancy and requires someone available to start immediately.
