Early Years Childcare Practitioner (Apprentice, Level 2 or Level 3) – Penrith
Humly is recruiting an Early Years Childcare Practitioner to join a primary school on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time role starting 13/04/2026 and continuing on a permanent contract. The role would suit a caring and enthusiastic individual looking to support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children in the Early Years setting, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Support children’s learning and development through structured and play-based activities
Assist in planning and delivering daily Early Years sessions
Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and share insights with the team
Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of the setting
What You’ll Bring
Apprenticeship or Level 2 / Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
Experience or interest in supporting children in a school or nursery setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from senior staff
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Pay
£25,989 pro rata

Enhanced DBS required (Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator)
