**MUST HAVE ACCOUNTS EXPERIENCE**
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support our finance operations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Xero accounting software and capable of managing day-to-day financial processes including reconciliations, reporting, and payroll.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records using Xero
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
Prepare and submit Government reporting (VAT, HMRC filings, etc.)
Process payroll for staff and contractors
Support management with financial insights and reporting
Assist with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks
Requirements
Proven experience with Xero accounting software
Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation and financial controls
Familiarity with Government reporting requirements (VAT, PAYE, HMRC)
Experience in payroll processing
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
