About the Role

Tower Hill Primary School is seeking a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated Family School Link Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils and their families to overcome barriers to learning, improve wellbeing, and strengthen engagement with the school community.

Working closely with school staff, parents, and external agencies, the Family Schools Link Worker will help ensure that all children are safe, supported, and able to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to families facing social, emotional, or financial challenges.
• Work closely with parents/carers to improve attendance, punctuality, and engagement with school.
• Identify and support children who may be vulnerable or at risk, working in line with safeguarding procedures.
• Liaise with external agencies and services to ensure families receive appropriate support.
• Deliver or support workshops and parenting programmes where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to multi-agency meetings when required.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, the safeguarding lead, and senior leadership team.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience working with children and families in an education, social care, or community setting.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build trusting relationships with children, parents, and professionals.
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
• A proactive, empathetic, and solution-focused approach.
