- This is a Hybrid role with visits to our Colchester and Ipswich hospital sites
Join our dynamic team as a key financial partner supporting the Business and Regional Directors across Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to influence commercial decision making, drive financial performance, and lead site based financial management. What You'll Do:
- Support operational leads in managing contract complexities and client expectations to achieve optimal outcomes
- Provide expert financial and commercial advice to drive performance and support decision making
- Prepare and deliver timely management accounts and financial reports in line with company deadlines
- Ensure billing mechanisms are correctly applied and facilitate the timely collection of debt
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying opportunities and managing risks within contracts
- Supervise and develop site based finance teams, ensuring high engagement and clear communication
- Support process improvements, compliance, and audit activities to enhance financial controls.
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high quality finance support
What You Bring:
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with post qualification experience
- Proven commercial acumen and negotiation skills gained through experience in dealing with complex contracts
- Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge, influence and support at all levels
- Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement and driving financial performance. The ability to keep focus on day to day performance whilst simultaneously pursuing longer term opportunities
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload
- Proficiency in conveying and questioning financial information with non specialists
- Be a key contributor to a strong and motivated finance operational team
- A keen attention to detail
- Experienced Microsoft Office user with a particular strength in excel modelling
- Proven Healthcare industry experience
- Contract stabilisation
