Summary

Commercial Finance Manager
Salary range of £60,000 to £65,000 dependant on experience
40 Hours per week
Shifts are 5 days over 7
This is a Hybrid role with visits to our Colchester and Ipswich hospital sites
Join our dynamic team as a key financial partner supporting the Business and Regional Directors across Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals. What You'll Do:

Support operational leads in managing contract complexities and client expectations to achieve optimal outcomes
Provide expert financial and commercial advice to drive performance and support decision making
Prepare and deliver timely management accounts and financial reports in line with company deadlines
Ensure billing mechanisms are correctly applied and facilitate the timely collection of debt
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying opportunities and managing risks within contracts
Supervise and develop site based finance teams, ensuring high engagement and clear communication
Support process improvements, compliance, and audit activities to enhance financial controls.
Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high quality finance support
What You Bring:

Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with post qualification experience
Proven commercial acumen and negotiation skills gained through experience in dealing with complex contracts
Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge, influence and support at all levels
Demonstrable experience in continuous improvement and driving financial performance. The ability to keep focus on day to day performance whilst simultaneously pursuing longer term opportunities
Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload
Proficiency in conveying and questioning financial information with non specialists
Be a key contributor to a strong and motivated finance operational team
A keen attention to detail
Experienced Microsoft Office user with a particular strength in excel modelling
Proven Healthcare industry experience
Contract stabilisation
