A bit about the team and projects you'll work on:
Michael Joseph publishes some of the world’s most popular commercial fiction, with a strong focus on romance and fantasy through our new Red Tower and Mayhem imprints. The team is building bold brands with global reach.
You’ll support campaign delivery across social media, influencer outreach and creative marketing for major fiction titles. Responsibilities include planning organic social content, researching competitor campaigns, building influencer mailing lists, assisting with proof mailings and contributing ideas for point-of-sale and promotional materials.
You will also support the growth of our online Romance and Fantasy community, including event planning, social content curation and newsletter ideation.
You’ll attend cross-functional meetings, gaining insight into how editorial, sales and marketing collaborate to launch bestselling books. This is a high-energy environment centred on brand growth and audience engagement.
Knowledge and skills you’ll gain: Social media strategy; influencer marketing; campaign coordination; creative asset development; community building; cross-team communication; brand building; fiction marketing insight and event coordination.
About our Summer Internship
This role is part of our summer internship programme at Penguin Random House UK. Please note that our summer internship is a positive action training programme, aimed at bringing new voices into the business. As a result, we will only be accepting applications from candidates who identify as coming from a lower socio-economic background. Summer interns will be expected to join us in the business for 8 weeks from Monday 6th July 2026.
Please note that this is a full-time hybrid position. You will be working from 9:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. You will be expected to be in person in our London office for at least 2 days per week.
