English Teacher – Long-term temporary and ongoing from April 2026

Duties as English Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that support progress across relevant Key Stages.
  • Assess, track, and record pupil achievement using school systems.
  • Create a calm, inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet varied needs and support all learners.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to departmental planning.
  • Encourage a strong culture of reading, writing, and communication.

Ideal English Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge with confidence teaching English.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality lessons that promote pupil progress.
  • Effective classroom management and a consistent, supportive approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of pupils.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
