SEND Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing from April 2026

A recent inspection highlighted that the school is on a clear journey of improvement, with leaders demonstrating a strong commitment to raising standards and strengthening provision for pupils with additional needs. Staff are increasingly focused on creating a stable, structured environment where pupils can feel secure and supported. Work is underway to develop a more cohesive curriculum and improve the consistency of teaching so that pupils can experience greater success in their learning and personal development.

Duties as SEND Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Implement individual education plans and contribute to ongoing assessment and reviews.
  • Create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and wider professionals.
  • Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues and families.

Ideal SEND Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Experience working with pupils with a range of special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of adaptive teaching and behaviour support strategies.
  • Patient, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
