Your new company

Desian Education are proud to be working in collaboration with a Runcorn-based single-form entry primary school that has great transport links as they are looking to appoint a reliable and motivated teaching assistant for a full-time temporary contract. This role will commence on 13/04/2026 and will last until at least the end of this academic year due to additional funding.


Your new role

As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining a highly experienced EYFS cohort. You will work in partnership with the class teacher to promote the engagement and learning of your new pupils by utilising an array of learning equipment and breaking down learning as required. You promote the social, emotional and fine motor skills development of your pupils by planning and delivering learn through play and guided writing sessions. You will also:
- Deliver phonics sessions/assessments
- Implement positive behaviour strategies
- Supporting during break and lunch times
- Delivering forest and OPAL curriculum


What you need to succeed

- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Be able to commit to a long-term full-time contract
- Have good knowledge of the EYFS national curriculum (OPAL and forest is advantageous)
- Be at least NVQ Level 2 Children’s Care Learning and Development qualified
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
