Desian Education are proud to be supporting a Runcorn-based single-form entry primary school that is easily accessible via public transport. This is an extremely inclusive and nurturing mainstream primary school that are looking for 2 experienced and dedicated teaching assistants to join their school on a temporary basis, with temporary to permanent contract being considered for the right candidates.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be based in the EYFS cohort, working in collaboration with the nursery and reception class teachers to support in the delivery of stimulating and engaging learning material. As an experienced member of the teaching support team you will lead on intervention support in key EYFS areas, with other duties including:
- Phonics assessments using RWI
- Reading comprehension in reception
- Learn through play to promote social and emotional development
- Supporting across KS1 and KS2 as required
- Implementing positive behaviour strategies
What you’ll need to succeed
- Be at least Level 2 Children’s Care, Learning and Development or equivalent qualified
- Relevant referenceable classroom experience in EYFS
- Good knowledge of the EYFS national curriculum
- The confidence to support any primary year group
