Registered Veterinary Nurse - Downham Market

Varied caseload including advanced facilities such as CT.


Rotational RVN role across wards, theatre and consults within a large, supportive nursing team.


Balanced rota with varied shifts, 1 in 5 weekends and paid night rotation allowance.

Working Pattern

The rota includes a mixture of day shifts:

  • Early: 6:45am – 3:45pm


  • Day: 8:30am – 5:30pm


  • Evening: 9:30am – 6:30pm


  • Late: 10:30am – 7:30pm


    Additional rota details:

    • Weekend rota: 1 in 5 weekends (time off in lieu provided)


    • Night rotation approximately 1:15 (with compensatory rest periods)

        The Role

        This position involves working a structured rota, supporting the clinical team in delivering exceptional nursing care while ensuring smooth day-to-day practice operations.

        Key duties include:

        • Delivering high standards of veterinary nursing care


        • Assisting Veterinary Surgeons in line with Schedule 3 procedures


        • Nursing surgical and medical inpatients


        • Running nurse clinics and appointments


        • Supporting admissions and discharges


        • Providing client updates and healthcare advice


        • Maintaining accurate clinical records and medication dispensing


        • Supporting student nurses and nursing assistants where required


        • Assisting with stock control and practice organisation


          Clinical coaching opportunities are available for nurses interested in mentoring student veterinary nurses.
