A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at the China Fleet Country Club. Set within 180 acres of beautiful Cornish countryside and just 15 minutes from Plymouth City Centre, we are a leading Country Club offering accommodation, fitness & leisure, golf, dining, beauty, weddings, conferences, and events.
We’re looking for a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our sales team, grow revenue across the Club, and shape the future of our sales strategy. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the sales function, build strong partnerships, and ensure an exceptional customer journey from initial enquiry to onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, develop, and motivate the sales team
• Drive outbound sales activity and manage the full sales pipeline
• Improve the customer journey and increase conversion rates
• Build strong partnerships and secure new business opportunities
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to support targeted campaigns
• Produce regular sales reports and monitor performance metrics
• Oversee CRM, sales processes, and support ongoing system improvements
Essential Requirements:
• Proven experience in senior sales or business development
• Strong track record of achieving and exceeding targets
• Skilled in CRM platforms and pipeline management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship building skills
• Confident representing the organisation at networking events and exhibitions
• Full UK driving licence
Desirable
• Experience within hospitality, leisure, membership clubs, or events
• Experience in CRM development or system configuration
