As a Nursery Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting staff to provide high-quality care and early learning experiences for young children. Your contribution will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can thrive.
Requirements
A genuine interest in supporting children’s development and early learning.
A caring, patient, and positive attitude towards working with young children.
Ability to work well within a team and follow guidance from senior staff.
Good communication skills, both with children and adults.
Confidence to get stuck in straight away and support wherever needed.
Quick to pick up new routines, expectations, and ways of working in different nursery settings.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting children’s play, learning, and daily routines.
Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming, and organised environment.
Assisting with supervision, meal and snack times, and hygiene routines.
Setting up and tidying away activities and resources throughout the day.
Engaging positively with children to encourage confidence, independence, and curiosity.
Willingness to actively get involved in activities, play, and learning experiences with the children.
