An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic Band 7 Dietitian to join the Specialist Weight Management Team at Aintree Hospital. We are a highly specialist Tier 3 Service treating and managing people living with obesity across Liverpool and surrounding areas.
The service is led by Professor John Wilding and you will be joined by a committed team of consultants, GP’s, physiotherapists, dietitians, an occupational therapist, assistant practitioners and administrators.
Working closely with members of the MDT, the post holder will be responsible for helping to deliver a specialist dietetic service to patients living with obesity and related disorders.
The successful candidate will provide specialist assessment and treatment for individuals with complex obesity in an outpatient service across both hospital and community sites (both in face to face and virtual settings).
Assessment and treatment will be in the form of clinics and groups. There are opportunities available to provide dietetic input to clinical trials.
You will work alongside patients to manage their weight with conservative approaches, medical management, as well as supporting patients wishing to pursue bariatric surgery.
The role offers the opportunity to blend a wide range of dietetic skills, wellbeing interventions and behaviour change in a holistic manner. You will lead service development projects and be part of the full MDT approach to patient care.
