Year 2 1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEND Support)
We are seeking Teaching Assistant to join a 'Outstanding' primary school in Neasden, providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 2 with Autism. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference to a child's learning, confidence and wellbeing.
About the Role
- Provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with ASD, helping them access learning and feel secure within the classroom environment.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement personalised learning strategies and support plans.
- Adapt activities and instructions to ensure the pupil can engage with the curriculum at an appropriate level.
- Support the child with communication, emotional regulation and social interaction throughout the school day.
- Help create a calm, structured and predictable learning environment.
- Encourage independence while offering guidance and reassurance when required.
