Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
A well‑established engineering manufacturer is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of advanced mobile machinery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing technical company.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design from concept to production
- Produce 3D models and drawings (PTC Creo)
- Conduct FEA and structural analysis
- Integrate hydraulic systems into mechanical designs
- Support prototypes, testing and validation
- Prepare CE/UKCA documentation and risk assessments
- Maintain BOMs and design data in ERP/PLM systems
- Work cross‑functionally with engineering and quality teams
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Mechanical design experience within machinery or regulated industries
- Strong CAD (PTC Creo) and FEA skills
- Understanding of hydraulics and structural design
- Experience with CE/UKCA compliance (advantageous)
- Strong communication and documentation ability
- Engineering qualification (Degree/HND/HNC)
