Summary

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

A well‑established engineering manufacturer is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of advanced mobile machinery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing technical company.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design from concept to production
  • Produce 3D models and drawings (PTC Creo)
  • Conduct FEA and structural analysis
  • Integrate hydraulic systems into mechanical designs
  • Support prototypes, testing and validation
  • Prepare CE/UKCA documentation and risk assessments
  • Maintain BOMs and design data in ERP/PLM systems
  • Work cross‑functionally with engineering and quality teams

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Mechanical design experience within machinery or regulated industries
  • Strong CAD (PTC Creo) and FEA skills
  • Understanding of hydraulics and structural design
  • Experience with CE/UKCA compliance (advantageous)
  • Strong communication and documentation ability
  • Engineering qualification (Degree/HND/HNC)
