Your new company
You'll be joining a public organisation with a growing and varied estate, delivering professional estate management, valuation and asset support across South Wales. The organisation is committed to efficiency, compliance, sustainability and strong stewardship of its property assets, operating with public sector values while maintaining the agility of a commercial enterprise.
Your new role
As a Chartered Surveyor specialising in Asset Management & Valuation, you will take responsibility for the effective management and oversight of a diverse estate. You will lead on landlord and tenant matters, including rent reviews, lease renewals, re‑gears, assignments and dilapidations, while also supporting acquisitions, disposals and wider estate optimisation.
You will undertake valuations across multiple property types, contribute to annual asset valuation programmes, and produce high‑quality professional reports aligned with RICS standards. You will support strategic estate planning, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and work closely with internal teams, clients and external partners to maximise estate performance and long‑term value.
What you'll need to succeed
- MRICS Chartered Surveyor status, ideally with valuation experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of estate management, valuation and landlord & tenant matters.
- Experience managing mixed or public‑sector property portfolios.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and high‑standard report‑writing skills.
- Ability to interpret legal documents and advise confidently on complex property issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
- A proactive, organised and solutions‑focused mindset, comfortable handling a varied caseload.
- Full UK driving licence.
What you'll get in return
You will join a supportive and forward‑thinking team committed to professional development and best practice. You can expect a competitive salary, hybrid working, opportunities for CPD and growth, and the chance to play a key role in shaping a developing, high‑impact property service for the region. Your expertise will directly influence strategic decision‑making, estate optimisation and long‑term asset performance.
