Who we’re looking for

We are looking for senior leaders with the ability and experience in the primary school sector to support headteachers, induction tutors and ECTs with the induction assessment process. You will play a crucial role in ensuring schools are compliant with DfE guidance and ECTs are given a fair and consistent induction. This will include visiting schools, reviewing assessment procedures and processing formal assessments and progress reviews.

The position requires an individual who has excellent working knowledge of the DfE’s induction assessment guidance and Early Career Teacher Programme and can communicate effectively with headteachers, induction tutors and ECTs. You will have a track record of supporting colleagues to improve their teaching practice and be able to provide actionable developmental feedback effectively.

You will have:

• Credibility as an experienced and successful school senior leader with a demonstrable track record of success, particularly with improving teaching.
• The ability to support schools in developing ECT practice.
• The ability to work with school senior leaders and central leaders to develop Appropriate Body services.
• A comprehensive knowledge of pedagogical techniques and evidence-informed practice.
• The ability to review induction assessment documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
