An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well‑organised, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Early Years Inclusion and Childcare Service as a Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) Monitoring Officer.

About the Role

This varied role works across both the Early Years Inclusion and Childcare Service and Finance Business Support, supporting the effective implementation of Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE) processes and policies.

As our FEEE Monitoring Officer, you will:

  • Support the preparation, management and monitoring of budget resources and associated data, including checking detail, investigating variances, and consolidating financial information.
  • Coordinate and advise on statutory FEEE guidance, working closely with business managers to support operational delivery.
  • Provide pupil‑level data and analysis to inform census returns, financial forecasting, strategic planning and business initiatives.
  • Use compliance visit data to identify high‑risk providers, conduct any necessary follow‑up visits, and deliver clear action plans and written reports.
  • Lead on handling complaints relating to free early education entitlement, responding to both parents and providers.
  • Support completion and submission of statutory data required by the DfE.
  • Ensure financial records are accurate and maintained in line with financial regulations.

About You

To apply for this post, you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:

  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent, or equivalent level of experience ,trained in the use of Microsoft Office and GCSE's in maths and English A-C (5-9), plus evidence of continual professional development.
  • Experience of supervising staff, including undertaking performance and management reviews, experience of project management and proven administration experience.
  • Experience managing complaints, with strong customer‑care skills and an understanding of confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of the early learning and childcare sector and its partners and experience of interpreting statutory guidance into operational guidance.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation.
  • Knowledge of the administration of FEEE to Leicestershire’s Early years providers.
