Through weekly IBD ward rounds you will address medicines-related issues for acute and elective inpatients, ensuring that all patients are counselled fully on their medication regimens in order to maximise compliance with medication regimens. Our Pharmacy Team is well integrated within the GI Services Divisions, which includes our Intestinal Failure, Obesity Services, Colorectal Surgery, Colorectal Medicine, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Upper GI Surgery, Upper GI Medicine, GI Physiology, Vascular services, and Hepatology services. Additional management and leadership responsibilities for the GI Services Division will include governance, medicines expenditure analysis and reporting, audit and service evaluation, multi-professional education and training, and other strategic projects as required. You will also represent the UCLH Pharmacy Department at directorate and divisional clinical governance meetings. You will work as part of our broader clinical pharmacy team and contribute to local and national initiatives to develop and enhance the pharmacy service. You will also contribute to the delivery of educational and developmental programmes, including the Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice, and our rotational programme for band 7 clinical pharmacists.
