Tetra Tech RPS is looking for a Bid Manager to Shape Strategic Bids. Influence Major Projects. Drive Winning Outcomes. This can be a hybrid role with office location as Birmingham, London, Leeds or Bristol.
If you are driven by the challenge of leading strategic, high‑value bids and want to influence the success of major infrastructure, environmental, and engineering projects, this Bid Manager role offers the opportunity to make a real and measurable impact. You will work at the centre of our work‑winning activity, shaping compelling submissions and collaborating with technical specialists across the UK and Ireland to help secure the projects that define our business.
Purpose & Scope of the Role
This role is designed for a proven bid professional who can take full ownership of strategic and complex submissions from initial qualification through to final delivery. You will shape high‑quality, compliant, and persuasive proposals that demonstrate a deep understanding of client needs, market drivers, and technical delivery. Working closely with senior leaders, technical specialists, marketing teams, and business development colleagues, you will coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, craft clear and compelling narratives, and ensure the final submission reflects a strong value proposition and competitive advantage.
The role sits within a central bid team of up to six colleagues and spans multiple disciplines across the UK and Ireland, including planning, environment, design, engineering, transport, energy, buildings, and infrastructure. You will lead bids often valued at over £1 million, partnering with contributors from across regions and external organisations. You will manage governance, planning, and quality assurance processes and act as a subject matter expert for bidding best practice across the organisation.
