Are you passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives?
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at West Port – Bield at Home. This is a rewarding role where you will support individuals to live independently, maintain their wellbeing, and enjoy a high quality of life.
Hours of employment:
30 hours a week.
The Role
In your role as Support Worker, you will provide care and support to individuals in their own homes including:
- Assisting with household tasks
- Assisting and supporting with personal care, including intimate personal care
- Medication prompting/ administering
Please note for this role, and for genuine occupational requirement reasons, we are looking to appoint Female Support Workers (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).
About You
You will:
- Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Have the ability and initiative to work on a lone working basis
- Have good time keeping, time management and organisational skills
- Hold an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or have the ability and willingness to undertake this qualification
- Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
