About the role
Join our Insight team at the heart of the Customer function, where you’ll shape how Tesco uses data, AI and analytics to understand customers, identify growth opportunities and drive customer‑led decision making.
You will be responsible for
- Set the analytics vision for Insight, leading delivery across UK and Bengaluru teams and external partners.
- Define best‑practice analytics processes, metrics and standards.
- Use data, analytics and AI to uncover customer needs, forecast behaviour and highlight growth opportunities.
- Translate complex analytics into clear, compelling insight for non‑technical audiences.
- Partner with Insight Managers to bring insight to life through strong storytelling and visualisation.
- Anticipate future data, tooling and capability needs, bringing external trends into Tesco.
- Support alignment of analytics methods across Tesco Group.
You will need
- Strong numeracy and hands‑on experience with analytics tools (Python or R preferred; SQL required).
- Proven background applying advanced analytics and statistical modelling, ideally with large‑scale customer data.
- Experience with big data platforms and visualisation tools (Hadoop, Tableau or similar).
- Comfortable operating in agile, product‑led environments.
- Curious, proactive communicator able to simplify complex concepts.
- Degree in a numerate discipline.
